A thoughtful conversation starts here

Lovu for psychologists

A familiar voice. A place for stories. Your clinical judgment comes first.

Lovu creates personal AI avatars shaped by a person’s voice, stories, and memories. If our email brought you here, this is a place to explore what that experience could mean for your clients, and where its limits lie.

Free, about 30 minutes. No obligation or client details needed.

An addition to a conversation, not a replacement for care. Lovu is not therapy, a crisis service, or the person themselves. It generates new replies and can get things wrong. We do not promise healing or clinical benefit.

Where it may fit

Start with the person, not the technology.

These are situations to consider, not treatment recommendations. A client’s readiness, expectations, and relationships matter more than what an avatar can do.

01

Grief and continuing connection

When a client asks about hearing a familiar voice again, Lovu offers a way to explore conversation shaped by a loved one’s recordings and stories. Whether that experience is appropriate is a personal and clinical question, not a promise of relief.

02

Legacy and life reflection

For someone who wants to preserve their own voice, values, and memories, creating an avatar can provide a focus for sharing stories with family. The person’s wishes and permission guide the process.

03

Families facing memory loss

Families may want to preserve stories and a voice while their loved one can participate. Capacity, consent, and comfort need careful consideration. An avatar does not restore memory or treat dementia.

From first questions to a familiar call.

  1. 1. Explore the fit

Talk with us about how Lovu works, the available material, permissions, and your questions. You decide whether it is something to introduce to a client.

  2. 2. Prepare with permission

With the necessary permissions, we work with the person or family to gather recordings and memories, build the voice and personality, and refine the avatar.

  3. 3. Connect by phone

When the avatar is ready, the family receives a phone number. They can save it in their contacts, dial from their phone, and talk just like a normal phone call.

How an avatar is made

Consent before connection

Make room for the difficult questions.

An experience that feels comforting to one person may be unsettling to another. Choosing not to proceed is a valid outcome.

What is the client hoping for?

Discuss expectations and whether they understand that this is AI, not contact with the person. Consider whether it could intensify distress or displace human support.

Whose permission and privacy are involved?

Clarify rights to the source material and who may use the avatar. Review consent and privacy terms before sharing anything. Do not send clinical notes or identifiable client information through our inquiry form.

What would signal a need to stop?

If you and a client choose to explore it, discuss boundaries and how they will tell you if the experience becomes upsetting. Lovu cannot assess suitability or monitor clinical risk for you.

Questions you may be bringing with you.

Is Lovu a therapy or a mental health service?

No. Lovu creates personal AI avatars for conversation and connection. It is not a therapist, a diagnostic tool, or a crisis service. We do not claim proven therapeutic outcomes, and it should not replace professional care or human relationships.

Does the avatar repeat recordings or create new replies?

It creates new AI-generated replies shaped by the source material and the conversation. The voice is recreated from recordings. Replies are not original statements from the person and may be inaccurate, so the experience should always be understood as a simulation.

Can I explore it before discussing it with a client?

Yes. Start with a free consultation to ask about the experience, preparation, and boundaries. You do not need to bring a client or share confidential case details. We can discuss what you would need to evaluate before considering an introduction.

What permissions are needed?

We review permission to use the person’s voice, image, stories, and recordings, as well as who may access the avatar. When the person has died or capacity is uncertain, authorization requires particular care. Our example consent documents are a starting point, not a substitute for legal or clinical advice.

What does it cost, and how long does preparation take?

Pricing starts at $99/mo. + setup fee. Avatar creation is a considered project involving recordings, memories, voice preparation, and refinement. Timing and setup costs depend on the available material and scope. We explain those details during the free consultation, with no obligation to continue.

A conversation, not a commitment

Explore what belongs in your practice.

Bring your questions about the experience, ethics, or a possible introduction. We’ll explain what Lovu can and cannot offer, so you can make an informed decision.

Please keep client names and confidential details out of your inquiry.
